As the name implies, Shou Puerh gets better with age! Over time, the funk of the fermentation process used to “cook” the leaves dissipates while taste deepens and aromas balance. High-quality, spring-picked leaves from old trees create a thick, viscous brew that is encapsulated by delicate nuances of freshly toasted nuts and a caramelized sweetness. Through post-process fermentation (after the tea leaves have been dried) and aging, caffeine is lowered, and the probiotic properties of this special tea are enhanced. It has a focused energy (Yang) that is easy for the body to process with a long resonating sweetness. Â
